The agility sports are one of the fastest growing sports in the world and there are so many people who need help. I want to help you to achieve your goals and keep you from becoming a victim of injury and loss of performance.
If you don't know me, I am Mike Krasny, owner of Krasny Strength. I also am on the board of directors of the American College of Sports Medicine. As a physician, I use the term 'adaptive movement' to describe agility and other sports. I want to give you all some guidance about how to improve your performance and prevent injury. The following advice may not necessarily apply to all people or all the sport. I have tried my best to be as general as possible, but that's a big reason why I'm a personal trainer instead of a scientist. In an article by Steve Prefontaine on page 7, you will learn that the more you spend in a sport, the less efficient you are as a runner. When I have clients who are training hard but aren't progressing as fast, I make it clear: "The most efficient way to get fast is to do less work.
